Which of you actually has a good understanding of the situation is, possibly, debatable.

Let's consider who an unbiased observer should trust...

The guy who looks at the program from the outside and judges based on historical stats and unverifiable rumors.

Or the guy on the inside whose very career depends on having a good understanding of the situation.
