(Completely Subjective of Course):
-A. Escobar (B)-like him batting 8th-offensive improvement. Ironman on D.
-A. Gordon (D)-injury yes. Offensive #'s inexcusable. Zero plate discipline.
-S. Perez (B)-great D. Acceptable O given his workload.
-K. Morales (B)-incredible turnaround from first two months....took a disastrous start into a pretty damn solid offensive year, and played well on D in NL parks.
-E. Hosmer (C+)-D had uncharacteristic lapses. HR/RBI'S very good. Too streaky. Can't see a $200mm contract for a .265 hitter.
-MOOSE-incomplete.
-C. Cuthbert (B)-good D. More than acceptable O. Alex Gordon could learn something here.
-O. Infante (F) & adios.
-W. Merrifield (B+)-good D at several positions and credible O based on what he was asked to do.
-L. Cain (C)-too injury prone, and but for a brief spurt, offense below average. D skills beginning inevitable decline.
-P. Orlando (A)-played well in CF/RF (not gold glove, but above average). Provided consistent positive offensive output.
-J. Dyson (B-)-forced to play too much but held his own offensively and played above average D.
-R. Mondesi Jr (B)-very good defensively, and showed flashes of power that will develop. Blinding speed on bases.
-C. Colon (C)-okay at what he was asked to do.
-D. Butera (C+)-see C.Colon.
-Gore/Dozier/Nava/Burns etal-incompletes.
P-Duffy (A)-great progress/demeanor/stuff...very promising for 2017.
P-Kennedy (B)-stayed healthy/good stuff/too many HRs
P-Ventura (C)-inconsistent/little progress from 2015
P-Gee (C)-did what he could do with limited talent.
P- Young (F)-nothing left. Dayton Moore blunder.
P. Hochaver (B)-incomplete.
P- Soria (D-)-see C. Young.
P. Strahm (A)-most promising young P we saw.
P. Hererra (B+)-great til end. Wore down late.
P. W. Davis (B+)-see Hererra. Human, but very good.
P. Flynn/rest of the middle relievers-C....meh.
Team Grade: C. Playing 33 extra games over past 2 seasons along with injuries to Moose, Gordon, Cain, Hochaver, Davis, Holland, Vargas and gifting Infante a spot on the opening day roster all spelled .500. Detroit and Cleveland clearly better. Chicago & Twins clearly worse.
Sorry if I missed anyone.....
