into any of the last decade of seasons of college basketball not only do they go undefeated but likely have a margin of victory > 20 ppg. And the crazy thing is they weren't even the best team in the Big 8 that year.

That was actually the second time we played Syracuse that season, lost to them in overtime 86-84 in the preseason NIT (after defeating #5 UNC to advance to the championship game). Derrick Coleman actually came to MU on an official visit when Daly was recruiting him. Imagine adding him to that MU team instead of facing him.
