of the blame goes on other's shoulders.
Lock clearly has things to work on, but he had:
zero protection
no running game
no proper preparation, as he was not getting starter reps through any of summer camp and he wasn't even getting #2 reps for half of summer camp.
Last season's failure was mostly about 2 things:
Mauk and the horrible Oline.
Before he finally got busted, Mauk's partying was obviously interfering with his play. The stories are too numerous to document. And while some may not be true, there is never a situation where a list that long isn't at least partly true.
