A defensive minded coach took the reins at Texas and vowed 'we will do something interesting on offense'.

Result? Disaster.

Now here at Mizzou we have Odom, a defensive minded head coach who is not at all comfortable with offense.

The difference maker this season will be how quickly Odom adjusts his strategy and gets involved with the offense.

He doesn't need to run it - but he needs to understand what Heupel is trying to do. Just sticking his nose into that side will help it immensely.

Or he can go the way of coach Strong.

Hopefully we won't have to wait three seasons to right the ship...
