could rule on something like that in a big hurry.

I think the House is limited to selecting from the top 2 vote getters in the electoral college, so they wouldn't have the ability to select a 3rd party candidate who got 10% of the delegates, nor anyone who had not run.

In our current situation they would probably have to pick between Hillary & Trump if Johnson got 20% of the delegates & none of them got the 270 necessary delegates.
