Fact: They invented deficit spending. Eisenhower (who in fairness deficit spent to build tremendous infrastructure after the war and at a time when tax rates were ridiculously high). Then Nixon. Then Reagan, who made it a year in and year out policy. We literally spent the Soviets into oblivion.
Then Bushy II, who took a budget surplus and hurled the deficit from 5 and change to 9 and change trillion. This was after his Dad lost his re-election bid because he had the audacity to believe that we needed to raise taxes.
But yeah, trust them red guys. They're economic wizards.
