a HUGE success had he swallowed his pride at times and actually negotiated/ compromised with the Republicans on a number of issue. Instead, he started off on the wrong foot ("Elections have consequences") and it went downhill from there. Considering he had Democratic majorities in both the House and Senate for his first two years, he didn't accomplish squat (except for Obamacare, if you call that an accomplishment).
