Sure, admitting it's national security issue plays to his voters. But calling for revealing them publically plays to Clinton's message that Trump is reckless. He could have pushed the issue much better by noting that Clinton's actions have the potential for foreign gov'ts to get access to national security information as the leaks demonstrate.

Calling for the emails to be revealed indicates he is willing to sacrifice national security further to further his own political interests.
