alum and president were sick of the direction MU basketball off the court was headed, so KA got hired, a self imposed penalty was imposed and no other coach wants to come in until that is cleared up (another year maybe two the way the NCAA is handling it), and finally the AD leaves so he no longer has an immediate boss and gets another year of reprieve. I have seen the same thing happen with directors and VP's in the corporate world, someone is hired for all the wrong reasons, economy shakes up so everyone says its the economy not their inability to run the department, then the president is run off so the new president needs a year to figure out what to do to fix things and the guy ends up making big bucks for 4 or 5 years as a VP, leaves with a great resume.
