considerably different if you see this as lots of potential and reasons for optimism in relation to what MU used to look like when they were good.

I do agree that potentially we might not be terrible, but hoping things unexpectedly all fall in place so we can be a borderline tourney team is a very low bar for MU basketball. And of course we won't actually reach it, and we likely will be terrible.
