partial substitution for what we already have.

If the chain broke on your chainsaw and it gashed your arm very badly, I'm guessing that you'd want a doctor to clean the wound & stitch it back up, no?

Herbs & spices might help a bit with keeping infections down but I doubt they'd be a major help in reattaching fingers or removing bullets.
