and Baby Boomers are turning 65 at a rate of 9,000 to 10,000 per day and that will continue for at least another decade. Rather than paying money in, they will be drawing it out as they retire making the deficits even worse. Social Security's 'lockbox' is full of IOUs from the federal government (bonds).
