Maxwell didn't testify in her own defense at her trial and she was under no obligation to answer any of the DOJ's questions truthfully. She appeared to use the Hillary Clinton defensive tactic of failure to recall specific details. Also, Maxwell has zero knowledge of what occurred in Epstein's prison cell and her speculation regarding his death is worthless.
