shows that they don't have total control of the populace (yet?), and also that the US still significantly has the mindset that we're a free nation. Some people will still fight back, and there's also a significant amount of guns in the populace.

So mind control ops and mental manipulation is still needed.

Having the people war amongst themselves in the different groups still distracts them from their real enemies, those who want to rule and control them, the Deep State.
