any peace agreement is a neutral Ukraine, which would mean no foreign troops in Ukraine, especially NATO ones & no Ukrainian offensive weapons that would pose a threat to Russia proper.
If the US makes such a proposal, I would guess that Russia would be even more vehement about rejecting any peace agreement that would include US or other NATO troops in Ukraine.
I personally would not be in favor of US troops being in Ukraine.
