yeah those cheap municipal courses are pretty much gone

I used to play at one in Grain Valley(Or was it Oak Grove?) Was right off of I70. Was a **** course, nobody was ever on it. Half the time they'd have sprinkler hoses strewn across the green that you'd have to move out of the way when putting.

But it was like $12, and me and a buddy would go walk it and play it like 2-3 times over.

The clubhouse was basically a mobile home with a teenager manning it, they didn't give a rats ass if you just kept playing all day long.

This would have been in the mid-90s
