I know stars aren't the end all be all, but they can be an indicator about the health of a program and quality at the top of the roster. Take a look at #'s of 4 and 5 *'s on 247 2025 rosters for the programs OP mentioned:

Mizzou = 34
KS = 8
Arkie = 25
ILL = 7
Tenn = 46

Keep in mind, per 247, Mizzou had ONE total 4/5 * on the roster in 2019. Since Drinkwitz the numbers have climbed year over year each year...1) through stellar recruiting both portal and HS and 2) really good retention.

Still a long way to go to get to UGA, tOSU, etc. (all 60+), but yeah, Drink and co living in some fanbases heads for a reason.
