paying attention. Though Royals are probably set up much better for success in the future. They have a ton of good young arms, but are awful at the plate. Much easier to find bats than to build a solid rotation 1-5. What happens the rest of this year doesn't really matter for either team. Royals were "buyers" at the deadline without dealing any big prospects that might hurt them down the line. The Cards were "sellers" at the deadline, without getting rid of anything huge to build for the future. They traded some bullpen guys that netted them some prospects and gave away a sh*tty starter, but didn't really move the needle.
