The Royals have been buyers, the Cards have been sellers, and there is a sizeable gap in the difficulty of the divisions each play in (NLC currently has the team with the best record in baseball, 4th best in the NL, and two other teams over .500). It would be pretty surprising if the Cards finished with more wins, given the circumstances above.
