There is only one candidate so far who has declared interest in running for the state Senate in a southeast Valley district. And she's on record as saying women shouldn't hold public office.
"Honestly, I don't know if I would vote for any female," Mylie Biggs said on a podcast last August as she and the host discussed the 2024 elections. "I don't know if a female should be in office."
"There are a lot of really good women in office," Biggs said, adding, "I'm not trying to hate on women. I don't think women should hold office in general. It's a man's position. I think women should run the home."
