It was a morning discussion section for a Bio Lab. I had seen the news about the first plane but it wasn't registering as an attack at the moment, so I went to campus and started setting up for class. As a few students got there, they mentioned the second plane and the pentagon. We kept discussing it as more students showed up. After about 10 minutes or so, less than half the class had shown up and we were all too distracted by the news to do anything so I cancelled class. It then dawned on me that one of my brothers-in-law worked at the Pentagon and the next hour or so was spent trying to reach family and figure out wtf was happening. I'm pretty sure I spent the rest of the day at my parents' house glued to the news.
