It certainly appeared that the Zionists knew what Hamas was planning. They were practicing it for days right outside the fences. They were even posting their practice runs on the internet.
Israel has often bragged that their surveillance system could tell when a mouse was moving within a 100 yards from their border fence, and yet they did nothing as it became blatantly obvious what they were planning.
Their warning system went off & their top level military guys in charge met in the middle of the night to discuss it, but didn't even raise the threat level to "1", the lowest threat level available to them, and they all went back to bed, leaving the people extremely vulnerable.
Hamas was caught off guard at how undefended the border was. They expected 80% or more of their men to be killed or incapacitated when they breached the fence, but there was virtually no one there. Because of the lack of any threat level they were able to go in to kill guards in their quarters.
They also had not expected the big music festival just outside the border, replete with unarmed, unguarded potential hostages.
The Zionists' main response was to send Apache helicopters which were killing many Israelis along with the Hama fighters. Of course, the women and children the choppers killed were attributed to Hamas.
Netanyahu was shown egging on the accused pedophile group they hired to collect bodies to shovel out the propaganada and they certainly did with blatant, easily refuted lies about what Hamas had done.
Yes, Hamas committed some crimes but the whole thing smells like Netanyahu *wanted* them to try and *wanted* them to commit heinous crimes so that they could justify the genocide & the annexing of Gaza. He seemingly wanted to sacrifice some of his citizens to get the cover he wanted for committing his own, even worse war crimes.
