Summary: Evaluation of the data indicates that the Israelis were well aware of the planning of the attack for days before it happened, and at best were astoundingly unprepared for it, and seemingly ignored what was coming, and quite incompetent in responding to it.

Atrocities were committed by Hamas, but not even close to the scale that has been alleged.

Numerous, easily debunked claims of atrocities by Hamas have been propagated by Israel and the mass media every since.
