at least they're trying to create a healthier, more sustainable alternative. whether they'll succeed or not is up for debate, but at least they're pushing and testing some boundaries. I don't think they'll replace beef or any other animal-based protein any time soon, but having an alternative once in a while isn't a bad thing.
i'm starting to try introducing mushrooms into my diet a lot more as a protein alternative, or at least a supplement. we're eating more chicken and fish too just to try and level-up our diet a bit. if beyond has a product that doesn't suck, I'd be all for rotating that in every once in a while.
