Also depends a lot on the type of lease. If the tenant (Family Dollar) had a Triple-Net (NNN) lease with the landlord, then Family Dollar is responsible for both the building/property insurance coverage as well as its upkeep while renting. This is common when a building just has 1 dedicated tenant.

It'll be a legal mess for sure
