normal for a person who has been sexually abused since infancy.
The main issue is whether or not there really are adults who would abuse children, and in her case, even their own children.
The news stories tell us that this is indeed really happening and far more often than people would like to admit.
She said at one point that she 'transitioned' to the point of having her name changed to a boy's name, largely because of the abuse she had been receiving. She felt that being a girl meant slavery & she wanted to be a boy.
I have no idea how common that is, but I heard a psychologist talking about how gender dysphoria has exploded in recent years. Is there any sort of correlation/causation there? It's one more data point to consider.
The number of sexual abuse victims also seems to have exploded in recent years, as have the number of self-identified homosexuals. We know that a significant number of young boys who were abused as children by males become homosexuals, and a percentage of them become pedophiles. Yet another data point to consider.
I think it is reasonable to take her story with a huge grain of salt, but I don't think it's reasonable to dismiss her story & the hundreds of others like hers out of hand without actually looking into them further. There are far too many cases of child sex abuse going on in the world and those children are clearly gravely harmed. Ignoring them, or immediately dismissing their stories as "conspiracy theories" is hardly the Christian thing to do.
