Of the draft eligible college juniors in the MLB top-250 only five went unpicked.

15 players ranked in the MLB top-250 were taken in rounds 11-20.

When you look at the picks those teams made in rounds 5-10 you see a lot of college players, especially college seniors. They're cheaper to sign than HS guys and free up slot money for later in the draft if a guy is available that's worth a flyer.
