What is that rich person going to do with his extra $100,000? Unless he just puts it under his mattress (highly unlikely), anything he does with it is going to be very good for the economy even if he just puts it in the bank or invests it.
The other person with an extra $100 will likely just spend it, which is good for the economy too. But not as good as the rich person's extra $100k likely being used to expand the economy in some way.
