Our education system has been a mess for a long time.

Perhaps her stupidity, exemplified by her interview talking about what a great thing it is now to have "A one" in our schools now, is just a symptom of how screwed up our education system is. In fact, that would be my best guess. She didn't screw things up all by herself, and the problems predate her by decades.

But it obviously doesn't help to have one so clueless in charge of the entire system. In the short clip at the beginning of the video she talks about how wonderful everyone thought it was to have internet in our schools, but now we've surpassed that and have "A one" in our schools.

She is obviously clueless about this new AI technology that is already having a major impact in the schools, although it has caused some big problems with cheating and so one with kids having ChatGPT writing papers and so on.

Does she really inspire confidence that she can help turn around our failing school system? That she can lead us into the future, as we try to bring so many of our students up to the educational standards of so many of the other countries have passed us by? Wealthier students in the elite schools in the US are among the best in the world, but in many of our cities and states the average US students have fallen behind, and drugs, violence and substandard education are the norm.
