for a war with Iraq through multiple administrations, bot Republican and Democrat. So have neocons in Republican administrations, but it appeared to me that Trump had been giving them some pushback and had tried to distance himself from them as best he could(?).

I think he is being pulled/pushed into this reluctantly.
