a couple of things:

1) a starting QB is going to command more money than anyone else at the university. I don't think anyone else would be making 7 figures in a year. I just used "players" generally in that sense.

2) there are other avenues for NIL money than through the university, so your idea that there was only 12 mil to choose from is illogical.
