it's made in texas, under conditions more extreme than most whiskeys and aged less. I left it alone for maybe 4-6 months and when I tried it again it was completely different, and unlikeable. I put it down to being a more unstable sort of liquor due to it's rapid creation (barrels are only aged for 4-5 years at higher temps that accelerate the angel's share). I can't prove that but it's the conclusion I came to-it really sucked because it was expensive and I really liked it when I opened it. I make a point of not letting any open Garrison Bros bottles stick around too long.
