You are 100% wrong women do not gravitate to careers because of social expectations that is a false narrative of the highest degree. As you can see women still move toward the nurturing fields it's genetic.

The decline in Men in those profession and higher education is simply do to the change of Education at all levels and males at a young age opting out of education and higher education at massive levels, less Males are going to college and into those fields is the Simple answer as to why Women are now equaling or even surpassing men. You need to look deeper into things before you form your opinion based on half the stats.
As the Education system became dominated by females at all levels and has become more verbally oriented and less tactical and hands on... whole generations of males have been pushed to the fringes of the educational process because boys are not geared for the so called modern way of teaching.
