what do you know about the bill? there are no 'cuts"

1st -it is Medicaid - NOT Medicare..Medicare is not touched in the budget bill

2nd - looking for $880,000,000,000 in savings over 10 YEARS...or $88,000,000,000 per year for a program that costs $880,000,000,000 / year covering 78,000,000 people or about 1/4 of the population of the US.

3rd - the bill doesn't cut any coverages, it attacks abuse & fraud. It does this by adding requirements to be eligible for coverage. a) community involvement (for those NOT with dependents (under 7), disabilities, pregnant (or postpartum) they must document 80 hrs per month of work, volunteer efforts or school to stay eligible. b) you must enroll twice a year in lieu of just once. c) states that cover undocumented immigrants from their own funds (there are 14 of them) will have their fed coverage level cut from 90% to 80%, 2 of the biggest Medicaid spenders, CA & NY, are among the 14 states.

THe red tape gets thicker and states that cover undocumented workers are punished...I doubt this would stand up if challenged in court, sovereignty of each individual state is effected.
