I see very few effective slap hitters.
We need a couple better outfielders overall for next season. Ours are not that good on offense.
Our bunting strategies are often clueless to me. We don’t have the pitching to play for a run in the early innings. I remember a game (1st inning) where we had runners on 1st and second and no outs. We attempt a sacrifice bunt with our third place hitter. I also remember a situation where we sacrificed ahead of Crenshaw and the opponent intentionally walked Julia.
I am not a hater of the coach, and I want to make that clear. It’s really tough to coach when your best players are either slumping badly, are injured, or just not performing in the clutch.
