There are a lot of old systems being used by government, which require more employees than should be needed in the 21st century. Automation and AI will play a big role in improving those systems and processes. It would be great if one day we could apply for a passport online, get the approvals, and have a passport issued within a few hours instead of the process taking months. That's just one example of the benefits that DOGE could provide.
