I still recall the SI cover story & some of the interviews years after this “career”

Roided out freak who couldn’t do a thing on the field. He’s to blame for that but what was he supposed to do when drafted? Refuse his check? Plenty of blame for that entire debacle to go around.

There’ll be some bad picks made but I don’t think what happened to him could happen today.
