I have been there around 1990, 2000, 2005. Like 1 week at a time or less. It was really growing in the 1970’s too.
I like the climate. To me it was surprisingly mild. With little humidity the heat and cold are less bothersome.
I just like to visit for a few days at a time now. It’s been 50 years now since I left there as a resident and my service time was up.
