I live in Colorado Springs and have since 2003. The CC team has a strong following, but they've been only a middling program recently. Their last two head coaches have losing records. No regular season conference title since 2008, no NCAA tournament since 2011, no Frozen Four since 2005.

They're a notch below some of the better programs in their conference, like University of Denver.

But they DID open a new on-campus arena a few years ago, and it provides a nice environment for hockey.
