sure there will be fans that sour on it. i don't think any of us who know what "amateur athletics" was supposed to be really likes it. but all of us still follow and tune in, and probably will continue to do so. and behind us there's a whole new generation of fans who really don't care who is getting paid what, and probably don't really care what teams are playing. all they care about is if their three team parlay hits on their mobile betting app of choice. that's the real future, and it's already here.
