'Climate change' is a little too vague and misleading.

I think that it entails a lack of precision in language that can result in people talking past each other.

I think that "climate change" isn't really controversial. Everyone knows that climate changes, and there have been and will continue to be climate changes on planet earth regardless of the actions or inactions of humans, or even when there were no humans.

The contested hypothesis is anthropogenic climate change, and how much if any of climate change has been & will likely be caused by human actions, and how much, if any, will be/can be changed by alterations in human actions.
