Does it distribute electric power to Missouri consumers who were previously unserved from other sources? Are the landowners being compensated through negotiation or forced under the threat of eminent domain? Who benefits from the sale of electric power to eastern customers? If Missourians are forced to cooperate and they don't need the power, it is not in our interest to participate. I can tell you from experience the process of eminent domain is ugly and the construction phase is damaging to the land.
