Do you expect NGO’s to not accept federal funds?

What level of independence do you think is appropriate?

The Rotary Foundation, a non-profit charitable corporation has a goal of eradicating polio from the world. They get private donations. Should they not also be able to accept federal funds to spend toward that goal?

NGO’s have their own board, executives, staff. They are independent of government.

Just like Raytheon and Tesla are independent of government, but also accept government funding.
