participation has greatly diminished the interest in the unique, fun, fan-friendly bowls.

Play the season - win your conference, celebrate.

Get into a bowl and win or lose.

Let the pundits, coaches, fans argue over "who is #1".

Winning a post season tournament is just that, it's not proof you are the best team for the year.
