I don't like the committee, but they ranked those two teams #1 and #2 and that was the matchup everyone wanted to see. We were cheated out of the chance to see it. I personally liked the BCS system the best with its mix of human polls and computer algorithms for picking #1 and #2. Almost never are more than 2 teams deserving anyway.

If we have to have a playoff, and I don't think we do, we need to get to 4 conferences and the 4 conference champs play in a 4 teams playoff and that's it.

But yes, I despise everything about the way the current 12 team CFP is setup. It sucks, and I've said so on here dozens of times since it was announced.
