hope that Macon would develop into something, which clearly didn't happen.

I fear the "experience over potential" strategy in conjunction with failing to land his top transfer target pits us in a bit of a cycle. Don't have anybody good so we go with experience. Keep going with experience, so we can't attract anybody good. And round and round we go.
