together. Why pay a guy big bucks, who may or may not be ready to contribute right away, and then may transfer after making a bunch of money for riding the pine? Save that money for guys who can transfer in and hit the ground running.

We probably could have paid multiple transfer defenders who would have contributed more, for the whatever Nwaneri was getting paid.
