Hegseth has military experience, but not really military leadership experience, from what I have seen.

Cohen was certainly part of DC for a long time, but in some ways if you are a political commentator, that is not much different.

Niether seems well "connected" into the military machine, which is a good thing.

If there is anything that I do agree with is less military intervention. However, we need to move towards more defense versus offense, and the Pentagon needs a lot less than it has.

I see the point of peace through strength, but I also think just leaving other countries alone brings peace too.
