and it will have a sort of spiraling effect: Schools outside of the big blood blues with enough fans to overcome any waning interest will show poorly at bowl games, which will mean bowl games are less likely to take them, which means they will drop to lower bowls, which lowers the excitement of the match up, giving more players incentive to sit out, and down and down the drain.
